Marketing Your Green Business

March 11th - 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Effectively getting your message out about what you sell can be challenging.  Learn how some simple free or inexpensive techniques can boost sales or awareness of your products or business.

Annie and Jay Warmke aren’t just teaching this workshop, they’ve used and perfected many of the things they’ll be talking about, and their business benefited by attracting 15,000 people to the middle of nowhere.

People today  are vacationing closer  to home.  Perhaps  it is the result of high gas prices, or maybe  a fear of terrorism.  The trend  in recent years is that  folks  are rediscovering some of the terrific tourist destinations in their own backyard.

Micro-tourism, small businesses that cater to tourists, are gaining more and more tourist dollars.

Farmer’s markets, bed & breakfasts local museums, regional artisans and local attractions are continuing to grow.

So clearly the opportunity exists to succeed in micro-tourism  - however a small business must understand and implement a relatively sophisticated marketing program to compete with the “big boys.”  Many small business owners find that they simply do not have the information they need to create a successful marketing plan.

The Agenda for the day  includes:

  • Reviewing your resources
  • Creating a simple  business plan
  • Establishing a  mission statement
  • Learning how to Implement a marketing strategy
  • Legal requirements for small businesses
  • Free advertising opportunities
  • Creating your own almost free web page
  • Listing on Internet Calendars of Events
  • Using the emerging social media (like Facebook, Twitter, etc) to market your business
  • The “do’s and don’ts” of broadcast e-mails
  • How you present yourself
  • How to keep “energized”

The workshop will be held at Blue Rock Station. Everything begins at 10:00 AM and goes until 4:00 PM with lunch included.

For more information please contact Annie Warmke at (740) 674-4300 or email her at annie@bluerockstation.com.  Registrations can be made by calling Annie or register by clicking the buttons below...
