Philo Home is "Crib" Worthy

Everyone dreams of living in a house that's worthy of MTV's cribs and one Philo teen does.

MTV's Teen Cribs is filming an episode with 16-year-old Catlyn Harrier. Harrier lives on Blue Rock Station with her grandparents. Harrier's house was built by her grandparents out of tires, mud, bottles and old bricks. Harrier says MTV heard about the sustainable living center at Blue Rock Center and originally wanted to bring in a teen on a tour. That was until the producers found out a teen already lived there.

"But what happened was when they found out a teenager was already here, they were just like let's see if she will do it and I was willing too," says Catlyn Harrier.

Cameras followed Harrier as she gave a tour of the farm to girls from the League of Extraordinary Girl Scientists. She also taught them about raw food for dogs and cats and how to care for llamas. Harrier and her grandparents say they want to show other teens, life isn't always about material possessions.

"I mean the show is so much about opulence you know how much we can consume, so what we are doing here is taking a step back and saying look, it is more about how you are living and how you are being aware of how your living. So it is good for the other kids to see a teenager who understands that," says Annie and Jay Warmke, Catlyn Harrier's grandparents.

Harrier says filming the episode was tiring, but she had a good time. Her episode of MTV's Teen Cribs will air sometime in May.
