Description
Sept 23rd, 1 to 4 pm
Are you a woman wanting to start a food forest garden or just learn more about plant propagation?
Learn native plant propagation and a few basics for creating your own food forest garden whether it is a pasture or your own backyard. Help plant the next phase of the new food forest. (fee: volunteering, bring your good mood and a meatless food to share)
Propagate some native plants, learn about food forest design, and then plant a few things in the emerging Warmke Farm food forest at Blue Rock Station. Learn a few of the tricks to starting your own elderberry, pussy willow, false indigo, or thornless red raspberry. After a snack you can choose three different varieties of plants to put into the ground at the new food forest. Next year you’ll receive an invitation to return for a cup of tea, and to see how your plants are contributing to the new food forest. Camping available but no individual fires. Cost $15
