Description

April 2nd, 1 to 4 pm

Join expert agroforestry designer Chad Cully to learn about the basics of food forests and this cutting edge approach to climate adaptation. The afternoon will be spent learning a few of the basics of food forest plants (what are they useful for, how do they generate revenue? and more). The class will end with time spent propagating plants. Everyone will go home with at least one plant they started.

It is bound to be cold so come prepared by dressing warmly, wearing gloves and a hat, and bringing a warm drink. The workshop will be held in the BRS high tunnel, but it has no heat source.

Snacks will be provided. Some plants will be available for sale at the end of class.

Sign up for one class ($35) or both classes at a discount ($65)

Accommodations may be available to people attending both afternoons…BRS one-bed cabins ($35 Saturday night) or camping ($15).

*Cully is a soon-to-graduate Cornell University graduate student in natural resources and the environment. He has been working with Annie since 2018 designing and propagating all of the plants in the new food forest in the West Field at Blue Rock Station.
